Creating a Distributed Port Group failed with a CIDR conflict error. How do I resolve this?

Symptom

Creating a Distributed Port Group failed with an error indicating a conflict with an existing network CIDR.

Cause

A Distributed Port Group using this CIDR already exists on the Distributed Switch. Distributed Port Groups on the same Distributed Switch cannot have overlapping CIDRs.

Solution

1. Plan IP addresses carefully to avoid CIDR conflicts.

   You cannot create two Distributed Port Groups with the same CIDR on the same Distributed Switch.
