Image Storage is disconnected. What should I do?

Image Storage disconnection is typically caused by one of three reasons. Identify the cause and follow the corresponding solution to troubleshoot.

Cause 1

The storage pool UUID specified for the distributed storage Image Storage is incorrect.

Solution

• Confirm the UUID of the storage pool you created in the distributed storage cluster, and provide the correct UUID when creating the Image Storage.

Cause 2

The Image Storage username or password is incorrect, or port 22 on the Image Storage is blocked.

Solution

1. Click Resource Inventory > Images and Templates, select the Image Storage, and click Actions > Update Password. For a Distributed Image Storage, update the root password of the monitor node.

2. Log in to the Management Node and use SSH to connect to the Image Storage to check connectivity.

Cause 3

The centralized storage mounted to the Image Storage is abnormal and an I/O error has occurred.

Solution

1. Restore the storage link, and use the umount command to unmount the Image Storage directory.

2. Manually remount the Image Storage directory.

3. Click Resource Inventory > Images and Templates, select the Image Storage, and click Actions > Reconnect to reconnect the Image Storage.
