How to resolve the issue of logs sent from the virtualization platform not appearing in log auditing after a Log Server is added?

There are two common causes for logs not appearing in log auditing. Identify the applicable cause and follow the corresponding solution to troubleshoot the issue.

Cause 1

The log level configured on the virtualization platform does not match the log level configured on the Log Server.

Solution

  • When adding a Log Server to the virtualization platform, set the log level to match the Log Server configuration. The platform can then receive log messages normally.

Cause 2

The device address configured on the Log Server may be incorrect.

Solution

  • Update the device address on the Log Server to the primary Management Node IP address instead of the VIP address of the dual-management-node environment. After the update, the Log Server can receive logs normally.
